Sao Ohtake is an installation artist. She holds a BFA in Fine Arts from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago in 2023. Currently enrolled in the Interactive Telecommunications Program at New York University. When people confront their emotions and self-analyze the anxiety and stress they are carrying, it is possible to reduce them. In modern society, many people are too busy to face their emotions and live in a physically and mentally exhausted state. Therefore, she started to think that if "space," which is familiar and easily influences people's minds, could be transformed into a "place" where people can face their emotions, and if such people could be healed and encouraged, people would adopt art as a part of their lives more than they do now. Currently, she creates artworks with the theme of connecting urban spaces and the people who live there by adding interactivity to her works.
Major activities include presenting electronic installation art for "Phoenix" at the "Tokyo Opera City Recital Series B→C: Michiaki Ueno" (Tokyo, 2022) and "ITP|IMA Winter Show" (New York, 2023).
