2023年の春に大学院で、現在起きている戦争に対する学部の対応をめぐって、学生たちの間で緊張と議論が巻き起こった。その過程で、イデオロギーの違いによる対立や友情の崩壊を目の当たりにする一方で、最終的には物理的な接触を通じて理解し合い、和解する場面も目の当たりにした。この経験は、異なるイデオロギーを持つ人々がどのように人間関係を築き、修復していくのかについて私の関心を深めた。卒業制作では、言語を超えた理解の過程と、その過程で生まれる感情の機微を視覚的、感覚的に表現した。

A series of softonic sculptures that play the sound of human breath by feeling each other's weight on the theme of human relationships in everyday life.

During the 2024 spring semester in my graduate school, tensions and arguments arose among students over the department's handling of wars currently happening. During this process, while I witnessed conflicts and broken friendships due to differences in ideology, I also witnessed situations where people eventually came to understand each other and reconciled through physical contact. This experience deepened my interest in how people with different ideologies build and repair relationships. In my thesis project, I hope to visually and sensually express the process of understanding that transcends language and the subtleties of emotion that arise in this process.
